Greek Weekend

Come and experience some authentic Greek cooking this weekend at The Bear.  Our Greek cook Alex is preparing a range of starters, mains and desserts that will take over our specials board for the weekend. 

Throughout the weekend, we will be offering 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts:

Mezze - meatballs, Dolmathes, Typoketeaes, Spanokopita  -  £7.50 per person
 
Starters - £7.50 each
Saganaki - aubergine, tomato sauce and feta cheese
Tyrocroketes - cheese croquettes
Spanakopita - Spinach pie
 
 
Mains
Dolmathes - stuffed vine leaves  -  £16.50
Mousaka - beef mince, aubergine, potato  -  £15
Kleftiko - lamb shanks, potatoes, dressed leaves  -  £21.50
Lauraki - Stone bass, new potatoes, tomato salad  -  £17.50
 
Desserts
Politiko - baked custard on filo pastry with cream  -  £6.50
Baklavas - filo pastry, pistachio, walnuts  -  £6.50
Greek yogurt and honey   -  £5.50
